As a native midwesterner, California has embodied a certain mystique unlike any other state. From its famed beaches, to the unique multi-cultural influences, the glamour of Hollywood, iconic landmarks and the topography from farms to forests, California is truly the Golden State.  Today, he is thrilled to be part of Pat Pattison’s Best of California TV series,  as the show explores unique destinations, individuals and history, while finding inspiration in those hidden gems that make up this beautiful state.

 

Jon Book first ventured west for the Rose Bowl in the 80's, later to return as the San Francisco Manager of Sunset Magazine, the quintessential authority of Western living. Since that time he has raised his family in sunny San Diego and enjoys the hiking and biking and California vintage wines.
